The Gala is Fashion Forward's biggest annual event of the Fall semester. Doors will open at 5pm and because The Gala is a formal event, dress code will be enforced. Forgotten Genocide of Bangladesh 1971: Lessons for the Future

Eastern is hosting a special presentation, “Forgotten Genocide of Bangladesh 1971: Lessons for the Future”  to be delivered by Mr. Mofidul Hoque, the Founder-Trustee, Liberation War Museum, Dhaka, Bangladesh and Director of the ‘Centre for the Study of Genocide and Justice’, Dhaka Bangladesh, on November 12th at 4 pm in Science Building, Room 301.

This will be an exceptional learning opportunity for Eastern’ s Liberal Arts  students to acquire some knowledge  how Bangladeshi Nation got liberated after a long indescribable struggle at the cost of countless human lives and women’s dignity.

The primary sponsor of this event is the office of EQUITY and DIVERSITY. This is a collaborative effort amongst the departments of Computer Science, History, Political Science/ Philosophy/Geography led by the chairperson of Computer Science, Dr. Sarah Tasneem.
